Ruhl Insurance Joins Horst Insurance
March 8, 2024Effective March 1, Horst Insurance, an independent insurance broker serving southcentral and southeastern Pennsylvania for more than 100 years, has acquired Ruhl Insurance, an 80 year old insurance brokerage firm based in Manheim, PA.
Formed by Jacob H. Ruhl in 1943, Ruhl Insurance grew to manage the insurance needs of more than 1,800 personal, commercial, farm, and agri-business clients. Nevin Dourte served as the President until his unexpected death in August of 2023.

Since 1998, Horst Insurance has acquired 10 firms that have all contributed incredible talent and diversification to its team and expanded their geographic footprint throughout all of Central and Eastern Pennsylvania and 45 other states.
