AGENCY HISTORY OF RUHL INSURANCE
The late Jacob H. Ruhl founded our agency in 1943. After establishing the agency, "Jake" left the firm to lead a successful, entrepreneurial career which took him into a variety of business and charitable ventures from co-founding the Manheim Auto Auction to the purchase of Datcon Instrument Corporation and the oversight of a period of tremendous growth of The Brethren Village.
In 1953, the late Donald E. Ruhl assumed responsibility for the operations of the insurance agency. Don led the agency on the path to the success and stature we enjoy today. Through Don's leadership, the Ruhl name has come to be respected and known for quality customer service.
